coming up next to a nsc near you. interschools are back again. in case (just in case) people have not noticed. we are exactly 4 weeks away from our interschools, the first for some and the last for some. even then, the cause is the same, the goal is the same. i hope everyone is, and will be, training hard for this… event, so to speak, and that everyone will be putting in their greatest effort to fulfil their personal aims, which should be in line with the school’s aims. nothing short of a gold. although we do encourage sportsmanship and everything else, it is also good that we aim for the top spot, the spot of glory and honour. and happiness not to mention. we shall celebrate on the 24th. but how many gold medals we celebrate with is another matter altogether. i hope everyone will hype themselves up for these four days, and that we can end of this year’s season on a good note.

Regatta notice

Hi all,

this is a bit late, but please be at NSC by 9 tmr and report at the shed behind as Uncle Tonny wants a briefing of ALL the sailors. Year 5 and 6 using the school equipment please come earlier as you have to draw them and check. Thanks

Training (a feeble attempt to revive)

Hi all, 

This is just a reminder that inter-school is round the corner and that you all have to start training and working if we want to win titles this year. I notice that not many of you are training in your respective classes that you are training for interschool. Please do come down as often as you can you train in your respective classes, even if you are training over the weekend with the national squad. This is for the next one and a half months only and after that you can continue with your other training sessions. 

The bus leaves at 3pm on wednesdays and 1.30pm on fridays. Saturday training will start when school reopens in term 2. Preferably for the whole day. More details would be up later. 

Another reminder for everyone to hand in your interschool forms ASAP as well as the March Regatta forms. Trying to hand in to your respective captains by monday.

Hi all,

Hope you guys are having a good 2 weeks of school so far. For the Year 2-4, hope you guys are had a good OEP and CDP. 

Just to let you all know, there is NO training this FRIDAY and NEXT wednesday due to the Chinese New Year break with celebrations on friday and the holiday in lieu on next wednesday. So please take this time for family/rest/EETOKIA/visiting/etc. Training resumes on next friday for all levels, so do please come down then. 

For those who have been away, we are NO longer meeting at the bus bay anymore. We shall meet at the SPACE FRAME at 3pm on Wednesday and 1.30pm on Fridays, the bus will leave promptly 5 minutes are the meeting time. If you all have to stay back for something for a short while, let us know and we will delay the bus for you.

Start of 2009

Hi all,

There has been some long lag in this blog since there has been nothing much to post. Hope you all had a good 1 month break. For the benefit of those who missed today’s meeting, there would be a meeting THIS friday next wednesday(14/01/2009) at the PE lecture theatre which is located at the old squash courts/old MPH/below the gym at 1400 hours AFTER SCHOOL. This is our year team meeting regarding training and inter school and please do turn up. 

As you all know Interschool is now on the 21-24 Apr, around that week. which is 2 months earlier than usual. Training commences next week on the usual days and the schedule can be found at cca.acsindep.edu.sg/sailing/schedule/. This is the website Mr Rasdeen was talking about so do please check back here or at that website for updates. 

Well i do not know how much people still visit this blog but please spread the word about this meeting. Thats all from me. See you all on friday

Holidays

Dear all,

as the holidays begin today, i would like to congratulate all of you for making it through this year, with many successes along the way. i’d like to encourage all of you to work hard with holidays assignments, especially the EE and the TOK essay. please do try to make time for training as well. next year is going to be a long and arduous year, and i’d like everyone, myself included, to work towards getting that ever elusive treble. 

in light of our team aims, i’d also like to encourage all of us to work together. teamwork is of utmost importance in the inter schools championships. although i understand that this is none of my business and that i do not know the exact details of what happened, and as the team captain, i’d like to remind us that we are a team, and any disputes should be handled personally and not through public domains like this blog. and while i am not going to ask the person who flamed ziyang to own up, i’d like to encourage you not to pursue this matter further. ziyang has apologized and it is time for all of us to work together. if you are from the sailing team, i hope you understand the position that we come from, this is not the time for us to be fighting among ourselves when we have a greater goal to achieve. i hope this serves as a reminder to all team members to work together and not waste time arguing over trivial issues. if you are not from the sailing team, i would like you to back off and not meddle into the affairs of a team that you do not belong to. you do not belong here.

Holiday Training

Hi All,

I don’t know how many of you all read this blog still, but just for your info training starts soon. Start begins next friday the 24th October 2008 at 10 am. You are expected to be there by 9.30 and be rigged and ready to launch by 10. If you do have con-camp/ focus camp, etc, you are expected to go for it. Please do not use it as an excuse not to go. I might have talked to some of you about it, but please, unless you have your teacher’s approval and Mr Rasdeen’s approval, go for con/foucs camp. But for the rest, it is a compulsory training and please come down on time. It would be a FULL day training.

As for the person who impersonates me, i dont know who you are, but please be mature enough to make a comment and put your name on it. You are using my name to make your complaints about me. i do not find it very amusing. And I am sincerely sorry if you felt that remark was insulting or insinuating. I have never implied to any of my friends that i am smart, and i am sorry if you felt that way. So be more mature and say who you are and be a real ACSian gentleman/lady. Sorry, i didnt want to stereotype around.

Training

Hey all. 

hope you all had a good break from school and hope that you all actually studied for your exams and will not retain and/or go for con camp, cause it will add to your going-to-be busy schedule. please note two things that you all have to do. 

1) Please email your captains all your schedules for the upcoming holidays. i want them by next monday

2) Please turn up next wednesday for a meeting. we will discuss our plans for this holidays and our plans for next year. venue will be at 5.15 classroom, new block. Time will be immediately after school. you guys can go without lunch for a day right? go da bao if you cannot take it. we’ll start at three on the dot. latecomers will be punished.

and as for all the division captains and vice captains, please take note of one more thing that you have to do:

3) please bug the people in your division to complete the first two tasks asap.
